The UWGW Emergency Fund of the Helping Neighbors NOW initiative has made its Final Round of Awards. They are as follows:
New Opportunities, Inc. $ 439 housing
Saint Vincent DePaul $ 439 food
Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries $ 877 food
Total $ 1,755 (Distributed to date: $83,755)
United Way of Greater Waterbury established the United Way of Greater Waterbury (UWGW) Emergency Fund in an effort to respond to the economic crisis in our community. Through this resource local nonprofits who provide basic needs assistance were able to receive immediate support to meet the increased demand on their services.
