Grtr. Wtby. Interfaith Ministries $5,000 food

2nd Round of Grants Announced April 17, 2009:
Waterbury Hospital: $10,000 for medical assistance
St. Vincent DePaul: $10,000 for security deposit and food assistance
NeighborWorks New Horizon: $5,000 for rental assistance
Salvation Army: $10,000 for utility and food assistance

The UWGW Emergency Fund of the Helping Neighbors NOW initiative has made its first awards. They are as follows:
Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries: $10,000 for food in Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry
Safe Haven: $2,500 for grocery cards that are for food only
New Opportunities, Inc.: $5,000 for eviction and foreclosure prevention assistance
